Carlos Segura was born in Novelda (Alicante, Spain), where he began his musical training at the Unión Musical L’Artística de Novelda. He later pursued his studies at the Conservatorio Mestre Gomis before continuing his higher education at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC), where he studied under Nacho Gascón. He subsequently completed a Master’s degree in Performance under the guidance of the renowned saxophonist Mariano García, and is currently undertaking a Master’s degree in Music Research at ESMUC.

He is actively involved in a wide range of musical projects, spanning orchestral repertoire and chamber ensembles. He has collaborated with orchestras such as the OBC (Barcelona Symphony Orchestra) and OSTO.

Also has performed both as a soloist and ensemble musician. His collaborations include projects with Kebyart—such as Kebyart meets ESMUC Sax Ensemble—as well as appearances with the Barcelona Modern Ensemble.

He is also engaged in chamber music, performing with groups such as Inner Trio, and is currently a member of Osimun Quartet. In the field of contemporary music, he has worked closely with leading composers, including Magnus Lindberg, and has participated in the Mixtur Festival under the artistic direction of Chaya Czernowin.

He has also taken part in workshops and concerts with composers such as Franck Bedrossian and Ramon Humet.

Throughout his training, Segura has received guidance from internationally renowned musicians, including Vincent David, Christian Wirth, Miha Rogina, Kennedy Moretti, Sae Lee, Takahiro Mita, María José Rielo, Lorenzo Coppola, and Feliu Gasull.
