INÉS gONZÁLEZ GÓMEZ (TOLEDO)

Inés González is a promising young Spanish saxophonist. She was born in Toledo but quickly moved to Madrid to develop her musical career there.

She is especially noted for his facet as a chamber musician, which she continues to develop with his current chamber ensemble Osimun Quartet and the saxophone group Prochain Arrêt, with whom she have just released their first album titled “Wind Serenades” with music by Mozart under the musical direction of Pedro Pablo Cámara.

She has participated in some of the most important classical music festivals in Spain, such as the Facyl Festival, the KlassicFest and the Suecasax; as well as having performed in prestigious venues such as the Theater aan het Vrijthof in Maastricht, Musiekgebouw Eindhoven, Selmer Hall in Paris, CentroCentro Cibeles in Madrid or the Ciudad de León concerthall.

Also, her interest in contemporary music has led her to work with the composers Evan Gardner, Vykintas Baltakas, Román González or Juliette Romboti, taking part in the premieres of some of their works.

On several occasions, she has collaborated with OperaLab Berlin, the Zuyd Opera Company and with the Zuyd Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by David Stern, hereby developing other artistic facets.

The search for further improvement in her playing is the reason why she is currently studying for a master's degree in classical saxophone at the Conservatorium Maastricht with Eva Van Grinsven, after having completed her Bachelor's degree at the Centro Superior Katarina Gurska (Madrid) under the tuition of Pedro Pablo Cámara.

Throughout her musical career, she has received masterclasses from important musicians such as Marcus Weis, Femke Ijlstra, Rita Wagner, Lars Niederstrasser, Gerald Preinfalk and Cibrán Sierra, among others.
